Here are a few facts to know about Kids on the Fly, N.J.
1. Our club offers structured tying and casting instructions so everyone can progress at their own speed. A list of fly patterns is being design to give you step-by-step techniques in basic order as you advance to the next level. Instructors will work with you one on one as needed.
2. All materials provide in class are FREE with take home material available at a small cost to students. Vises, bobbins, hooks, whip finishers and other tools are furnished for in class use. We are working on low cost start up kits that can be purchased at a local fly shop.
3. We will be looking to do shows and outreach tying at shops and stores – we will also be looking into tee shirts for the club to wear when tying outside the club.
4. We are a non-profit organization that depends on contributions, both monetary and materials to provide a life time of skills and fun for our youth.
5. The club was started in 2005 in Chautauqua County New York and is dedicated to promoting the sport of fly fishing and fly tying to our youth.
